Active Lancashire, Activate Breakfast Club – Book your Spot! – Join one of the meets below for a morning of connection and inspiration at a breakfast club.
This event is for anyone involved or interested in sport, physical activity, sports clubs & groups, leisure centres, those working within safeguarding/welfare or community projects. All activity-based community groups welcome.
These free, 2-hour events are an opportunity to come together with other people and organisations from across the county, celebrating the work being doing in our communities, sharing best practice and making contacts for future collaboration. The Breakfast Club will be split into sections for breakfast & networking, sharing what you do, activities and drop-ins with the Sport Welfare Officers. There will also be other side activities to take part in.
Each participant will also be entered into a draw to win a Self-care Package, filled with lots of goodies. For more information, please contact welfare@activelancashire.org.uk

Funding opportunities
Police & Crime Commissioner Summer Community Fund – Opens Friday 2 May 2025 – Funds are available up to £3000 and will once again support projects that engage young people at risk or in need of positive support during the summer holidays. This includes diversionary activities, prevention initiatives, and targeted interventions. Barchester Healthcare Foundation - Grants are available up to £2,500 for small community groups and charities that have projects to reduce isolation and loneliness among older people and adults with disabilities. Wyre Council – Application Deadline Midnight 23 April 2025 - Wyre Council is inviting grant applications, from not-for-profit organisations, that will deliver transformative and sustainable works to local community assets (community hubs, village halls and heritage buildings). Projects that will increase usage, health and wellbeing benefits for local people and projects that will boost the local economy. The community asset must be located in the borough of Wyre, and the project must be completed by 31 January 2026. The minimum application amount for this round is £20,000.
