Wyre’s Young Stars – The search is on for inspirational young people. If you know a young person who excels in their area, why not nominate them for the Sheraton Trophy. Every year the Mayor of Wyre presents the prestigious Sheraton Trophy to a rising star who has brought pride to the borough as a result of their achievements. Wyre Council wants to hear about young people who have excelled in any walk of life, be it sport, the arts, community work, volunteering or achievement against the odds. Funding Opportunities
Postcode Neighbourhood Trust (North of England) – Round 1- 9am 24 March – 12 noon 31 March 2025 – Grants are available (depending on their not-for-profit legal structure) between £500 and £2500 or between £500 and £25,000. The funding aims to support smaller charities and good causes in the north of England to make a difference to their community for the benefit of people and planet. Music for All's Community Project Fund – Deadline 27 March 2025 - Grants up to £2000 are available for groups, schools, any form of educational establishment, community projects, charities, and organisations that are bringing music to their communities in the UK. McCarthy Stone Foundation’s Dementia Grants – Applications accepted 14 February to 14 March 2025. Around 20 Grants are available up to £7,500 each to help with the project costs of running dementia clubs and memory cafes in areas of high deprivation affecting older people over the age of 65 years in Great Britain. UK Schools Invited to Enter Energy Saving Competition – Deadline 17:30 25 April 2025. Schools educating children aged 5-11 in the UK can enter the Everyday Energy Competition, which encourages young people to promote energy saving habits in their communities. Participants must design a banner illustrating the small changes they will make as part of their class's Everyday Energy pledge, alongside an inspirational message to engage others. Asda Foundation to Launch ‘Young Futures Fund’ – Opens noon on 27 February 2025 and closes on 13 March 2025 – Grants are available between £500 & £1000 for grassroots community groups across the UK to help them deliver activities that improve the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 13 years to 21 years.
