Wyre Moving More - Wyre Council are working with YMCA Fylde Coast, Lancashire County Council, Active Lancashire, Wyre and Fylde School Sports Partnership, local Primary Care Networks, and Fleetwood Town Community Trust to strengthen the connections between sport, physical activity and health and wellbeing and provide opportunities to get everyone in Wyre moving more. Garstang Day Club – Age UK Lancashire invites you to their FREE Open Day on Tuesday 28 January 2025. Pop in for Tea, Coffee and Cake at the United Reform Church, Garstang, PR31FL from 10am-2.00pm. Age UK Lancashire Day Clubs provide a welcome space for older adults to build friendships, stay active and enjoy engaging activities. From gentle exercise and cognitive games to group discussions and celebrations there’s something for everyone.

Heart Research UK - Healthy Heart Grants – Closing Date 4 June 2025 – Funding is available for new projects that work with communities to prevent heart disease, particularly for vulnerable and isolated groups of individuals (adults) who are at an increased risk of developing heart problems in the future. Projects that are likely to have a big impact and have considered novel ways to encourage people to look after their hearts and promote positive lifestyle changes are also sought. Household Support Fund – People in the community struggling to pay for essentials such as food, heating and water this winter can now apply for Household Support Funding from Wyre Council. Wyre residents can make an application now, using the online form on the Wyre Council website at www.wyre.gov.uk/householdsupport . The closing date is 31 March 2025. Eligible residents are encouraged to seek support early as the scheme may close earlier if the funds are exhausted due to demand.

Royal Countryside Fund’s New UK-Wide Grant Programme – Deadline mid-day 21 February 2025 – Applications are open to Not-for-profit community organisations with an income of less than £500,000 a year can apply for grants of up to £25,000 over a period of 24 months to deliver activities that fall under four key themes. National Churches Trust - Cherish Grants – Deadline 15 April 2025 - The National Churches Trust is offering grants of up to £10,000 to help with the cost of urgent and essential maintenance and repair projects as well as the costs of developing a church building project. The funding is for listed and unlisted Christian places of worship, of any denomination that are located in Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Wales, and Scotland.
