Funding Opportunities and News in Wyre

Household Support Fund - People in the community struggling to pay for essentials such as food, heating and water this winter can now apply for Household Support Funding from Wyre Council.

Wyre residents can make an application now, using the online form on the Wyre Council website at www.wyre.gov.uk/householdsupport . The scheme closes on the 31 March 2025. Eligible residents are encouraged to seek support early as the scheme may close earlier if the funds are exhausted due to demand.

 

One Stop Community Partnership Programme – Grants are available up to £1,000 for local Community Groups to develop a new or ongoing project and support the group, in partnership with their local One Stop store. To apply the group needs to operate within 2 miles of their local store. For more information Community Partnership Page - One Stop

 

Crowdfund Lancashire (Sport & Cultural Fund) – Groups can receive up to £15,000 from Lancashire County Council to help with a project to improve the culture or sport offer in your local community. Lancashire Environmental Fund - Grants are available up to £30,000 for local community and environmental groups for a variety of community and environmental initiatives within Lancashire. Big Local – National Lottery Community Fund - Local Trust is a place-based funder, which works with 150 Big Local areas, where people are making their communities better places to live. The aim of the fund is to create empowered, resilient, dynamic and asset-rich communities making their own decisions on what is best for their area. Community Foundation for Lancashire – Grants up to £10,000 are available to community organisations for projects and activities that contribute to stronger and more vibrant communities in Lancashire and lead to long-term benefits to the local population. Duchy of Lancashire Benevolent Fund - Grants up to £2,000 are available for registered charities to carry out general charitable activities that benefit local communities and residents in Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester. Westminster Foundation – Small Grants - Grants are available up to £10,000 for registered charities to create opportunities for young people (up to 25 years of age) and their families to have the resilience, skills and capacity to lead happy and healthy lives. The aim of the Foundation is to support projects that provide long-term sustainable help and direction to vulnerable young lives and thereby tackle the causes and impact of inter-generational inequality. Memorial Grant Scheme – A VAT reclaim scheme from £500-£1,000 is available through the Department for Culture, Media and Sport for any work that took place after 16 March 2005. The Elephant Trust – Funding is available between £2000-£5,000 for artists in the Fine Arts and small organisations and galleries. Application deadline January 19, 2025. For more information The Elephant Trust

 

The Fore Funding Programme – Up to £30,000 is available to small charities and social enterprises based in the UK. The funding is intended to have a transformational impact on the organisations being supported by unlocking exponential growth, sustainability, efficiency or some other major step forward. Royal Countryside Fund Supporting Rural Communities Programme - Grants up to £25,000 are available to constituted not-for-profit and community-led organisations operating in remote rural areas for projects that improve the lives of those living in isolated rural communities in the UK. A webinar for prospective applicants will be held on 17 December 2024 (18:00). Registration is required and can be done on Zoom. The Fund will open for applications on 10 January 2025. Funding Reminders

 

Cash4Clubs – Unrestricted grants of £2,000 are available. The funding aims to support the sustainability of adult, local sports clubs,  with an emphasis on 18-25 year olds, thereby ensuring more people have access to local sports.

The Wyre VCFSE Awards - 161 nominations were received for 37 different VCFSE groups/organisations which highlights how much of an impact our voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector have in our local communities.
